Alternative blues troubadour and former Blackpool Studio Blues visitor Dave Arcari makes his Fleetwood debut when he stops off in town for a show at The Prince Arthur tonight.

After a busy 2011 playing festival and club dates across Europe and the UK, Arcari has just finished work on a new album to be released on French record label Dixiefrog next month.

He is currently writing more new material in preparation for recording sessions in Helsinki, Finland, for another new album planned for later in 2012.

Arcari has shared the stage with major artists including Americana legend Steve Earle, the mighty Alabama 3 (famous for their Sopranos theme song), Seasick Steve, Toby Keith and veteran blues-rocker Robin Trower.

His latest album Devil’s Left Hand is attracting rave reviews and strong radio airplay which are helping him build on previous releases Got Me Electric (2009) and Come With Me (2007).

A regular at UK and European festivals, Arcari cites recent highlights as Glastonbury, Moulin Blues Festival in Holland, Belgium’s Peer Festival (alongside Jeff Beck, Joe Bonamassa and Steve Winwood), BluesAlive in the Czech Republic and Poland.

Headline shows in Finland, Estonia, Germany and Ireland, as well as across the UK continue to take Arcari and his music to a wider audience beyond the confines of any specific genre.

Showcased over six CD releases to date, Dave Arcari’s National guitar-driven alt.blues owes as much to trash country, punk and rockabilly as it does pre-war Delta blues.

It should be quite a night.
