July's busting out all over and The Syndicate celebrates the new month in its usual huge fashion with the return of the dance world's number one house event – Hed Kandi.
And with Saturday being the 4th of July the Church Street superclub has gone for a very American themed Independence Day Party.
DJs on the night are the Hed Kandi main man, remixer and album compiler Phil Faversham (pictured)alongside Andy Daniels with Syndicate resident Jason Fubar plus Dean Oram on drums & percussion.
Having parted company with founder and brand visionary Mark Doyle, Hed Kandi replaced him with experienced A&R man Phil Faversham.
Phil has been DJ-ing since 1990 and was one of the original promoters of the now legendary glam house night – Vague in Leeds – the first mixed, gay/straight club in the UK. He has toured the UK and international club circuits playing everywhere from Amnesia to Heaven.
He also ran the seminal dance label, FFRR as head of a&r alongside its founder, Pete Tong and released a string of club and chart hits by the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Lil Louis, Orbital, Goldie, Armand Van Helden, M&S presents Salsoul Nugget, Shy FX & T Power, Artful Dodger.
In addition he worked on Pete Tong's Radio 1 Essential Selection during this time, programming and selecting music
After spending four years at Warner Brothers a&ring acts from New Order to Holly Valance, Fav joined Hed Kandi in early 2005 and until recently, ran the label, selecting music and compiling the albums and continues to DJ at Hed Kandi events up and down the country.
Andy Daniels has been playing to Manchester crowds for many years (where he is lovingly known as Big Danny).
His name has become household to many Manchester clubbers, and has seen him play his well-developed house sound at the best clubs at home and abroad.
Andrew's passion for house music stems from his love of Rare Groove, Salsoul, Electro Funk & Disco, and his feel good music seems to captivate audiences wherever he plays.
Currently Andrew can be seen playing regularly at Hed Kandi events worldwide, and guest appearances at club events all over the UK and beyond.
