Charity screening for 3D film
Blackpool Odeon is hosting a special advance screening of the new 3D animated film Fly Me To The Moon in aid of The Variety Club and the NSPCC on Sunday at noon.
Exclusively in 3D animation, Fly Me To The Moon is the tale of a brave housefly, Nat, and his two best friends, Scooter and IQ.
Inspired by the heroic stories of his grandpa and their dreams of visiting outer space, the three astronauts embark on an amazing adventure after sneaking aboard the Apollo 1 mission to the moon.
Colin Alexander, general manager of the Blackpool Odeon, said, “It truly is a pleasure to once again have the opportunity to raise money for such worthy causes as The Variety Club and the NSPCC. The 3D effects in Fly Me To The Moon are truly incredible, an experience out of this world.”
The film’s release coincides with the 50th birthday of NASA, and World Space Week.
Tickets are priced at standard ticket prices, and the total box office takings will be split equally between The Variety Club and the NSPCC. The film is then on general release from October 3.
