An actor's life for them!

BRIGHTEN up your New Year with a performance by Rainbow Dance Studios. The group is putting on a performance of Pinocchio at Lowther Pavilion, from tonight until Sunday

Rainbow have been doing panto at the Lytham theatre since 1993, and this year it will be bigger and better than ever.

A total of 90 children, aged two to 17, are taking part, and more than 400 costumes have been made. Colourful scenes will come to life, as the traditional tale is given a modern twist with characters from the Disney-hit film Toy Story 3 making an appearance. Charlotte Wiggall will play the part of Pinocchio – the puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy.

Jiminy Cricket, a talking cricket who represents Pinocchio's conscience, will be played by Amelia Park, while the blue fairy who grants Pinocchio his wish is portrayed by Francesca Harrison.

Tickets are available from the Lowther Pavilion box office on (01253) 658666.

The performances are tonight, Friday and Saturday at 7.15pm and on Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 2.15pm.

Tickets are 9 for adults and 7 for concessions.
