Skateboarders young and old are being urged to get in touch to help with the design of a new Skate Park in Wesham.
The Skate Park, to be built early this year is being funded by the Local Partnership, Fylde Vision and Fylde Borough Council and will be installed next to the existing play park on Fleetwood Road in Wesham.

The £40,000 facility has the backing of Wesham Town Council, who as land owners have agreed to the Park being built.

Coun Simon Renwick, who is involved with the scheme, said: "I was delighted when the money was found for this facility from the LSP budget and I had no trouble match funding this from my own youth facility budget at Fylde Council.

"Suppliers have now been commissioned to come up with some designs based on steel and tarmac.

"Once these designs are in, I'd like skateboarders to have a look and let me know what they think. I'd like to form a focus group which can continue to be used through the stages of design and build and then afterwards to become the user group."

If you would like to be part of the focus group or know anyone who would, contact Coun Renwick by e-mail at simon@wesham.com.
