COUN Simon Renwick, the only cabinet member not to vote to carry forward a recommendation to close Fylde's two pools, says he will fight for Kirkham Baths.
He is vowing to fight on to keep Kirkham Baths open and said: "I am proud to come out fighting for Kirkham Baths, it supports schools, swimming lessons, clubs and not least health and leisure swimmers.

"As a local councillor I feel it is very important that we follow the wishes of the local residents when it comes to spending their money.

"It has been clear that there is support for the money to be spent on supporting local swimming and I have listened to that local voice and acted.

"That voice echoes my own thoughts and feelings.

"I thank everyone who has contacted me, and I urge them to continue to contact me showing the level of public support. Residents can e-mail on swim@ruralfylde.co.uk."
