NEW traffic measures could be coming to Wesham.
Lancashire County council's Highway Department is currently considering a new scheme to be created at the junction of Freckleton Street and the A583, which currently has no filtering system for vehicles to turn right.

This is leading to traffic congestion and hazardous conditions as cars become stuck in the centre of the road when the lights turn back to red.
Coun Simon Renwick, has welcomed the Highway Department's plans.

He said: "I am really happy with the outcome here.

"For years now that junction has concerned many local residents.

"I am glad that Lancashire County Council have taken this seriously and I welcome any improvement on road safety and traffic flow."
