A WESHAM councillor has hit out at vandals who have targeted a local attraction.
Over the Christmas period, yobs targeted the Bowland Grange pond in Wesham, uprooting the life saving ring and assembly.

This is the only safety feature at the pond which has deep water.

Coun Simon Renwick said: "I find this kind of act despicable.
"If a child or come to that matter if anyone slipped into the water who knows what could happen, however without the safety ring the chances get longer.
"This is not the first incident of vandalism on the pond as several years ago oil was tipped into it and the fish died."
