FYLDE council are investigating circumstances surrounding dumped rubbish in Kirkham.
Rubbish has accumulated outside an industrial unit on the Sunny Bank industrial estate and is deemed by Public Health Officials as a potential hazard to public health.

It has also been classed as a harbourage to vermin.

Fylde Borough Council's Environmental Health Officer investigating the incidents will now serve notice to clear the rubbish away.

If this does not happen the council will clear the rubbish away and bill the land owner.

Coun Simon Renwick has welcomed the decision.

He said: "Once again Fylde Borough Council has shown that it is a first class council that has the public interest at its heart.
"I look forward to this area being cleaned up and kept clean in future."
