THE rugby union season stretches into 'over-time' for six Fylde players tomorrow when they figure in the Lancashire team that takes on Warwickshire in the opening match of the Bill Beaumont County Championship at Preston Grasshoppers' ground.
Four Fylde players – Nick Royle, Oli Brennand, Steve Nutt and Roger Banks – are in the starting line-up, while Richard Kenyon and Chris Tyms on the bench.
Brennand has swtiched county allegiance from Durham to Lancashire for this season.
He has
finished top try-scorer in National Clubs Association statistics with 22, two ahead of his team-mate Royle, who will play on the opposite wing tomorrow.
Lancashire also have a new captain in 22-year-old Waterloo centre Jason Duffy, who began his representative career with the County as skipper of the under-13s.
One of the eight debutants in their squad for Saturday is number eight Seb Moss from Manchester, son of former Lancashire stalwart Phil Moss, who served Orrell with such distinction.
Lancashire are coached by Fylde director of rugby Mark Nelson.
