Director of rugby Mark Nelson said: "We got away with it against Hull Ionians because we scored seven tries – obviously that is not going to happen every week."

Neil Hunter will fill Nutt's role at fly-half against Bradford and Bingley – but his role was seriously impaired against Ionians.

A thigh injury meant that he could not kick the ball from hand or take penalties or conversions.

Fylde are hoping that he will have recovered sufficiently to be able to kick on Saturday.
