ST Annes is set to be better connected.
Staff at the town's newest store are celebrating after mobile phone giant O2 opened its first franchisee outlet in Fylde.
Five jobs have been created at the new store on The Square which will officially open to coincide with St Annes Club Day this weekend.
On Saturday July 12, the former jewellery shop will be re-launched as one of the UK's biggest telecommunications companies by franchisee Howard Stock.
Targeted
It is the first time O2 has targeted a smaller town to promote its goods, as it usually settles for larger towns.
The company already has a store on Church Street in Blackpool.
Mr Stock said: "O2 wants to target the over 50s and 60s and chose St Annes due to its large populations of the over 50s.
"People of that age are starting to embrace new technology and placing an O2 store here is a prime opportunity for these people to come and talk to us about it.
"It is also good for St Annes as it brings another high street name into the town."
