TWENTY bottles of wine were stolen when a burglar at Thornton took advantage of an unlocked door.
The culprit walked in at the front of a home on Lime Grove between midnight and 2am on Monday and also helped himself to a digital clock, a brass clock and a miniature carriage clock.

The haul was worth £500 and police have asked anyone who may be offered cheap wine to contact them on (01253) 876611.
