Manchester-born organist Pete Shaw makes his Blackpool Keyboard Club debut at its monthly meeting in the Pro-Deaf Club, Cornwall Avenue, North Shore, tonight.
With encouragement from a musical family, Pete has been playing piano since the age of four.
He is well respected in the organ/keyboard business with which he has been associated for over 28 years and is promoting Ketron and Korg Keyboard ranges na
tionwide.
He started playing semi professionally in the northern working men's clubs in 1975 to 1995 backing cabaret artistes.
His love of organs and keyboards took him around the North West in the 80's and 90's visiting organ societies and festivals where he proved very popular and now, after a nine year break, he is being welcomed back on the circuit with a new show.
The Blackpool Keyboard Club welcomes everyone, holiday makers, members and non-members to its monthly concerts held at the Pro-Deaf Club in Cornwall Avenue, North Shore.
Admission is £5 for members, £6 non-members/ guests. The concert starts at 7.30pm.
Further details of this and future events from the secretary Stephen Austin. Phone (07731) 148530 or email to camera@organ 162.freeserve.co.uk

Cello treat
In Thursday's second of Adrian Brendel's concerts devoted to Bach's Suites for unaccompanied cello, performed in the round in Lancaster University's Great Hall, he brings his sureness of technique, lightness of touch and instinct for intimacy and fantasy to the three suites hailed by Pablo Casals as 'grandiose', 'tempestuous' and 'heroic'.
Under this bold young player's fingers, their remarkable dynamic contrasts and piquant textural diversity make for compelling listening.
The programme includes:
J.S. Bach - Suite No.4 in E flat major BWV1010
J.S. Bach - Suite No.5 in C minor BWV1011
J.S. Bach - Suite No.3 in C major BWV1009
Book tickets at boxoffice@lancaster.ac.uk or (01524) 594151.
