Blackpool has gained a plush new cafe bar on one of its busiest streets. The £1m Septembers Restaurant & Champagne Bar on Queen Street has added a ground floor cafe bar in the former September and Saks hair salon.

The bistro-styled venue, which is open seven days a week serving light snacks and meals from around 11am to 8pm and tapas style food available until midnight, is the latest project of businessman David Moseley.

He said: “Because Blackpool is going through a regeneration programme we felt it would be good for the town and the North West to show that even though we didn’t get the casino, private enterprise is still happening in the resort.”

With a capacity of around 130, he is hoping the range of lower-priced meals and light bites will appeal to people who still want to savour the stylish Septembers experience – or simply start their night at the venue with a drink downstairs.

“Queen Street is a self contained, popular town centre oasis with a café bar culture and plenty of late night spots. Our new venture will enhance the options.”
