No, not the Hollywood hunk in the centre of this picture, but Blackpool lass Jodie Prenger.

The West End hopeful was all smiles as she met up with screen heart-throb George Clooney.

The girls were the envy of hundreds of screaming female fans when they were invited to meet George and pose for photographs with him.

And Jodie – who is hoping to bag the coveted role of Nancy in a new West End production of Oliver! – was over the moon to meet the Oscar-winning actor.

"Jodie was so excited, she phoned me from the ladies' toilets and said 'he's just so nice'," said Jodie's mum Madeleine.

The premiere at the Odeon, Leicester Square, was a welcome break from a gruelling schedule of voice coaching, acting lessons and filming for Jodie and the girls.

They are busy preparing for Saturday's live TV show when they will again sing to win viewer votes and stay in the contest for another week.

Jodie, 28, of Newton Drive, is one of the remaining 10 girls, chosen from thousands, vying for the role of Nancy in Sir Cameron Mackintosh's West End production of Oliver.
