Blackpool Odeon has scooped another exclusive rock legend live link-up. Hot on the heels of the The Rolling Stones Shine A Light premiere come Genesis live by satellite from the Kensington Odeon on Tuesday May 20 when it will premiere a special HD cinematic version of When In Rome 2007, taken from the forthcoming concert and documentary DVD.
The evening will also feature a live Q&A with the band members Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford. Hosted by Genesis fan Philip Glenister, this unique evening will be simulcast live by satellite to the Blackpool Odeon.

Colin Alexander, manager of the Blackpool Odeon said: "I have been a huge fan of Genesis for many years. At one time it was hugely unfashionable to like the band, however in the last couple of years Genesis fans have been resurfacing. This is a great opportunity for fans like me to see the band they love back in the limelight. Our guests will be the first to see backstage during last year's huge reunion tour, see some great live performances and watch a live Q&A.

"Our new digital projector is bringing an amazing range of exciting experiences to Blackpool. We will be showing high definition opera and ballet events later in May and June, the exciting new 3D release Journey to the Centre of the Earth in July, and live Grand Prix. Not only that but we have secured Digital copies of the latest blockbuster films Iron Man and Speed Racer."

Released by EMI Records on May 26, When In Rome 2007 is a triple DVD featuring almost six hours of material, shot during the band's hugely successful 2007 summer tour, Turn It On Again, their first in 15 Years. The tour ended with a show at Rome's Circo Massimo last July and is captured here in its full glory. The package includes a spectacular fly-on-the-wall documentary.

On May 20, selected Odeon cinema audiences get the chance to watch a full screening of Come Rain Or Shine, the documentary filmed during the Turn It On Again Tour by filmmaker Anthony Mathile.

A fascinating candid insight into the relationship of three band members that has endured for more than four decades, it is an in-depth, unusually frank and humorous look into the dynamics of life on the road and the mechanics, decisions and presentation of a legendary band on tour for the first time in 15 years. Utilising the full cinema sound and the 5.1 surround sound recording, audiences will also be treated to selected footage of the When In Rome concert DVD presented in HD.

Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford of Genesis will attend the DVD Premiere at Kensington Odeon and take part in a Q&A session with fans in the cinema's audience on the night. They will also answer questions from fans across the UK which can be submitted in advance via www.genesis-music.com

Hosted by fan of the band and the star of Ashes To Ashes and Life On Mars, Philip Glenister, this unique event will be simulcast around the UK from 7pm in May 20.

All tickets for this Odeon exclusive event are £12.50 each.

For tickets and further information go to odeon.co.uk, call the filmline on (0871) 22 44 007, or visit the Odeon box office.
