Oooh, talk about a dented ego...

'actor John Simm saw his career go sky high after he studied at Blackpool and the Fylde College'

Nothing to do with his three years at The Drama Centre London, under Yat Malmgren & Christopher Fettes, then...

Anyhoo, you forgot Dave Ball (Soft Cell & The Grid), Pauline Moran (Miss Lemon in Poirot).

Not a very aspiring list to be fair. Blackpool councillor Tony Williams is from Durham - he had a brief stint with Jethro Tull about 30 years ago, and Stealers Wheel is a Scottish folk band formed by 2 Scotsman. Neil Tennant (Pet Shop boys) is from Northumberland. The Nolans-Ireland. Mick Miller-Liverpool. John Simm-Leeds. Phil Walker from Lytham - that's not Blackpool. But why mention his dad Roy Walker - He's Irish!. "Blackpool" Famous Faces?! Sid Little-Manchester. Eddie Large-Scotland. Tommy Cannon-Derbyshire. Bobby Ball-Manchester. Russ Abbott-Chester. However, there is Lenny Bennett-Blackpool. Awesome!
