Manchester-based rock blues trio Sinnerboy return to Blackpool on Saturday for another tribute to the music of the late, great Rory Gallagher.
The band will be at The Raikes on Liverpool Road, bringing the music of the late Irish rock and blues man to a Blackpool audience, strong in the belief that his music is growing in popularity everywhere they play (internationally and at home).

Gal
lagher died in 1995 and is still missed by his legions of adoring fans. However Sinnerboy’s energy fuelled performances are as close a representation of a live Rory gig as you will see anywhere. Even if you’ve never heard Rory Gallagher’s music before, you may well come away a fan.

With continued success in Ireland following Bally Shannon festival in June 2007, Sinnerboy had several tours there in the following months.

In September last year the band released their eagerly awaited second album, Live At the Spirit Store in memory of the legendary blues man.

Containing such classics as What’s Goin’ On, Crest of a Wave and Shadow Play to name but three, it is endorsed by Rory’s brother Donal. The album has been very well received and is available at their gigs or from their website.

Following their success in 2007 the band returned from another sell-out 12-day Greek tour in January this year, taking in even more venues.

This May saw their return to Bally Shannon with performances at Dorians Hotel and the Rory Gallagher Theatre.

The band is also headlining several European festivals throughout the summer and with Irish tours planned later in the year their popularity continues to grow.

In September, the 13th annual Rory Gallagher Festival normally at Dukinfield Town Hall is this year at the Cavern Club in Liverpool.

n The Raikes, Liverpool Road, Blackpool. Saturday - start 9pm.
