NEW technology is helping students form relationships overseas at Blackpool and the Fylde College.

Foreign students are now able to receive information and guidance from staff via video link as the college has recently began to use Skype.

Staff used the digital technology package to speak to pupils from a school in Germany whose parents are in the forces and will be relocating back to the area later this year. Cyndy Lawton, careers adviser said: “We’re able to promote the college to future learners with a personal touch. We are now helping them via e-mail guidance too.”
