"DOES Manchester want our sea, and our Tower as well? They might as well have it all!"
Blackpool's mayor has hits out at the resort's failure to win the vital supercasino recommendation.
And a former tourism minister is the latest high-ranking MP to back Blackpool's battle to save its supercasino bid.
Labour's Janet Anderson, who held the post until 2001, said: "I was very disappointed by the decision that it was to go to Manchester. It seemed to me that Blackpool had an overwhelming case on regeneration grounds alone."

I think the "regeneration"issue may have caused the bid to fail a Casino owner is out to make money and won"t give a damn about regeneration. That is the councils problem.
