PART of Yeadon Way will be closed to traffic from today while improvements are carried out to Waterloo Road Bridge and adjacent verges.
The main arterial road will be closed to southbound traffic from the junction of Parkinson Way to Waterloo Road Bridge.

Southbound traffic will be diverted via Sands Way, Rigby Road, Central Drive, Waterloo Road and Parkinson Way.

The work is due to continue until July 18 but Yeadon Way will be reopened for the bank holiday weekend between Friday May 23 and Monday May 26.

House scheme

PROPOSALS to demolish two homes and a garage to replace them with two four-bedroomed houses have been submitted to Fylde Council.

The work, at Pinewood Lodge on Lower Lane, Freckleton, would also see a caravan on the site removed.

Council planners expected to make a decision by July, 10.

Track proposals

PLANS for a new six metre agricultural track in Singleton have been submitted to Fylde Council.

The proposed road, at Mount Farm on Station Road, would provide access to 50 acres of land.

A decision is expected by July 10.
