THE police helicopter was used to track down a teenager fleeing officers after a row with his girlfriend.
The helicopter crew identified someone under a trampoline in a garden and Steven Higginson was later found hiding in a nearby garage.

Jobless Higginson, 18, of Shetland Road, central Blackpool, pleaded guilty to damaging a garage window.

He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £40 compensation by Blackpool magistrates.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, said police were called to a report of an argument between Higginson and his girlfriend on February 6 at about 1am.

Martin Hillson, defending, told magistrates Higginson said he had been bitten on the arm during the row with his girlfriend.

When police were called he believed the officers would not ask too many questions and it would be him who would spend the night in the cells, so he took fright and ran.
