A KIRKHAM teenager who suffered horrific injuries when she fell 90ft from an apartment block in Majorca has died in hospital.
Grace Ford, 17, broke both her legs, pelvis and right arm and suffered internal bleeding when she plummeted down an air shaft following a night out in the resort of Magaluf on July 17.
The Kirkham Grammar School student, who lived in Greenhalgh, was on holiday with friends celebrating the end of her A-levels.
The teenager was kept in a medically induced coma in a Palma hospital as parents Chris and Suzanne, kept vigil at her bedside.
But despite signs her condition was improving, infection set in and Miss Ford died at 5pm on Thursday following a gruelling 12 day battle.
Family friend Steve Hall has flown to Majorca to comfort her heartbroken parents. He said: "The family are absolutely distraught.
"I have known Grace since she was a baby, it's just devastating."
The teen fell from the Torrenova apartment block after accompanying British holidaymaker, Edward Soppet, 18, back to where he was staying.
He was alleged to have helped the teenager climb out of the window, which he thought led to another part of the apartment block, at around 5.30am.
But the window was seven floors up and she fell into an inside courtyard.
The teenager died with her parents by her side.
