A HOST of famous faces skate into town tonight for Kyran Bracken's ice party.
The former England Rugby international created the show after winning ITV's Dancing On Ice in 2007.

And the 37-year-old has persuaded investigative journalist Donal Macintyre, actress Clare Buckfield and East Enders star Todd Carty to join him for the week-long run at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

"I'm very excited to be performing in Blackpool," said Bracken.

"The arena has an amazing history of skaters and it's an honour to be here."

EastEnders star Carty was a famous flop on Dancing on Ice, but he admits he's looking forward his Fylde coast visit for different reasons.

"My kids were delighted when I told them I was coming to Blackpool," he revealed.

"They love the rides so it looks like I might have to go on a few rollercoasters. I don't know what's more dangerous, the rides, or me skating on the ice!"

TV judge Karen Barber and X Factor finalist Marisa Billitteri are also set to perform. The show opens at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and runs until October 31. For tickets, call 0871 222 9090.

So the Pleasure Beach have 'fixed' the Arena Ice Rink! So I guess Hot Ice will be back in 2010??
What's the betting that they find some other reason not to have Hot Ice in 2010!

I wonder how long this comment will stay?

More Z class celebrities for the town, and a clapped out format too. Wheres Sheepdog for a comment when you need him ? Roll on Saturday nights without this dross on the telly as well ! Almost as mind numbing as the truly awful X Factor !

Amanda and The Pleasure Beach only provided the Arena, its NOT their show. And the timing was due to some of the proffesionals coming over to train for Dancing On Ice. Dont knock the show till you've seen it, it is afantastic all round entertainment and actually there are at least 3 locally trained professionals along with the talent of one young local girl who was outstanding in the show.
