BRITAIN'S Got Talent winner George Sampson is set to make a flying visit to Blackpool.
The young street dance king will be appearing at this year's United Dance Organisation (UDO) World Street Dance Championships Invitational on Saturday at the Winter Gardens.
George – last year's break dance under-16s champion – will appear alongside top dancers and crews from countries including Ghana, Portugal, Nigeria and Slovenia.
Contribution
He will receive a special award from UDO chairman Simon Dibley for his contribution to raising interest in street dance as an art form.
Millions of viewers saw Warrington-based George, who turned 15 last month, take home the Britain's Got Talent title and top prize of £100,000.
Making the most of his summer holiday from school, George will be enjoying his West End debut from August 4 dancing in the hip hop musical Into The Hoods.
George is certainly not letting the trappings of fame go to his head, though, and he reckons he's carefully saving his TV winnings.
He says: "I have an accountant and we work on what we want to save, what we want to spend, but I'm trying to save all that."
Tickets to Saturday night's Invitational Challenge are £10 from Winter Gardens box office or (0844) 856 1111.
