TOURIST attractions and shops across Fylde are being urged to sign up to a new tourist website designed to show the delights of the borough to the world.
The Fylde Council site was made possible following a £11,000 grant from the Local Strategic Partnership to cover start up costs.

The maintenance of the site is being funded by the council.

Coun Simon Renwick, cabinet member for culture and tourism, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Fylde to boost its visitor economy with a strong presence on the web.

“We want to show more people the delights of Fylde and have listened to the views of local hoteliers and businesses owners who have told us they want to see a tourism website.

“With the current awareness-raising about carbon footprints, many people may well be looking to holiday in the UK and we want to make sure Fylde is on their radar when considering a destination.”

Firms are asked to send their name, address, phone number, web or email contact details and an image to touristinforma tion@fylde.gov.uk.
