The cameras, installed as part of an ongoing project between Lancaster University, Wyre Borough Council and Deltares monitor the beach changes at the front of a new seawall in Cleveleys.

They have also captured the appearance of the stricken Riverdance.

These are Very poor pictures on the web cam site, I thought the idea of a web cam was to show up-to date and moving pictures.

My husband is working as a salvager on the Riverdance. So for me it is nice to see how the work is progressing.

I am always very proud of him because he is doing sutch difficult en good work. Keep up the pictures en the newsitems on your site please. I am reading it every day.

It looks to me that the Riverdance is lost! I had thought of suggesting moving sand from the landward side and then, using hoses as they do to settle concrete, stirring the sand to allow the ship to settle towards an even keel. Since she is obviously now taking water with each tide, is there no way - (airbags or injected expanded foam) -to at least block some of this water and thus give some buoyancy?

I have a £2 bet with my husband that the riverdance will not be sailing off into the sunset.some are optimistic,i think it will take a miracle .we,ll see.

I think the Riverdance should stay where it is. It gives you something to look at apart from the sea. No other beach in the country can say it has a great big cargo ship lying on its side, but Cleveleys sure can.
London is famous for its London Eye, Blackpool is famous for its Illuminations and Cleveleys is famous for its run aground cargo ship. Sounds quite good.
Also very impressed with the webcam. I have been to see the riverdance a few times but seeing the webcams you don't need to go to Cleveleys to see it.

The promenade is complete, contractors moving off, alas, where are the camera images?
Unable to view since Sunday 20th.last.
Shall I/We not have the pleasure/pity viewing the gracious 'Riverdance' being torn apart. I don't relish this but would find (as I'm sure many other 'punters' would) same emotionally interesting.Pass the hanky! No,serious.

I like the idea of sea-going unmanned pontoons/barges or the like. This would certainly save wear and tear of the roads and not forgetting frustration to residents and drivers.A tug or similar would be needed to haul the scrap away.
