Pharmacist accused of stealing drugs in Blackpool

A PHARMACIST accused of stealing drugs from the chemist shop she worked at has made her first appearance in court.
Zayna Polakovs, 54, of Orkney Road, Blackpool, is charged with stealing nitrazepam, diazepam and temazepam from Whitworths Chemist, Blackpool.

Polakovs also faces five charges of supplying Class C drugs.

Co-accused, Deborah Dent, 39, of Henry Street, South Shore, is accused of possessing 1,009 diazepam tablets, 532 nitrazepam tablets, 10 temazepam tablets and the heroin substitute methadone, with intent to supply the drugs.

Blackpool magistrates said the case must be heard at crown court.

Polakovs and Dent were bailed to August 28 for the committal of their case to crown court.
