AN application to allow a home in St Annes to be used as bed and breakfast accommodation has been refused by Fylde Council.
Two letters, one signed by 11 neighbours, had been submitted to the authority objecting to the move.

They believed the application would create a precedent and result in a lack of parking.

Protests

Despite the protests, council planners had recommended giving the go-ahead for the change of use at the large, detached bungalow on Clifton Drive.

Planners had felt the change would not have had an “undue impact” on nearby residents.
