Four of the famous Nolan sisters are finally getting back
together for a reunion tour – 30 years after their biggest hit.
Maureen, Linda, Coleen and Bernadette from the family group – who had eight top 40 hits between 1979 and 1982, including
the number two smash I'm In The Mood For Dancing – are reuniting for a 17 date nationwide tour, new album and concert DVD.
"We are all really excited – and a little bit terrified about the whole thing," said Maureen, who is touring in the hit musical Blood Brothers and will be at Blackpool Grand Theatre next week.
"We want to have loads of fun and prove to women that life doesn't end when you are 40 – or even 50!"
The show – which comes to Blackpool Opera House on October 20 – will feature all the girls' former hits as well as new tracks and classic songs.
Maureen said: "It's being billed as a sort of ultimate girls' night out – with plenty of diva anthems and a group of boy dancers."
Although a reunion has never been ruled out by most of the sisters, other work commitments have always got in the way.
Coleen's TV career took off with Loose Women, Bernadette spent several years in The Bill, Linda became a staple part of the touring Blood Brothers production and Maureen established a stage career in touring productions, musicals and pantomimes.
The Nolans will be at Blackpool Opera House on October 20. Tickets are priced £35 each.
