A MAN was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation following a blaze at a Cleveleys flat.
Two fire crews from Fleetwood were sent to Luton Road just before 4pm yesterday after a fire broke out in a top-floor flat.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze while an ambulance took a man from the neighbouring flat to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Paula Richards, crew manager at Fleetwood fire station, said a man had left a pan on in the flat before leaving.

His neighbour had heard the smoke alarm and made his way outside.

There was severe smoke damage to the kitchen.
