A unique event will be taking place this Sunday 2nd November in Lytham St Annes, aiming to raise £10,000 for national children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent.
Sponsored by Chewits, Britain's much loved chewy sweet, the event will comprise three races. Two are aimed at children: a 100 metre dash for the under 5s and a 1km walk or run for the 5s and overs.

Participating children (and adults!) are encouraged to raid mums' and dads' dressing up boxes to come up with the scariest costumes imaginable! For the more serious runners, or those with longer legs, there's also an adult 5km race.

Places still remain and anyone keen to take part will be able to turn up at the Registration Point at the Beachside Terrace Café, South Promenade, St Annes to enter.

Entry costs: £5 for 100 metre race, £5 for 1km race and £10 for 5km race, with ALL proceeds donated to CLIC Sargent.

The event was dreamt up by organiser, Alex Potocki, who was moved to fundraise after watching a programme about children being treated at Alder Hey Hospital's cancer ward.
