MP to raise awareness of dementia care

A FYLDE coast MP wants to raise the profile of care needs for dementia sufferers, both in care homes and in the community.
Gordon Marsden, MP for Blackpool South, is a member of the all-party MPs' Dementia Group at Westminster and has been sitting an inquiry into the use of psychotropic drugs for dementia sufferers in care homes.

He has also been working with the Alzheimer's Society to raise awareness of the condition and to strengthen commitment of training and skills from health and social care providers.
