The Lost Boys actor Corey Haim has died aged 38, the Los Angeles coroner's office has confirmed.
A spokeswoman said he died in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Providence St Joseph Medical Centre.
An autopsy will determine the cause of death and no other details surrounding his death have been released.
Reports in America say it was as a result of a suspected accidental drug overdose.
His mother is thought to have called the emergency services. Haim had a well-documented struggle with drug addiction.
The Canadian-born star's first role was in the 1984 hit Firstborn. In recent years, he appeared in reality TV show The Two Coreys.
However, the series, which also starred Haim's friend and fellow Lost Boys actor Corey Feldman, was cancelled in 2008 after two seasons.
Apart from Lost Boys his roles included Lucas, Murphy's Romance, License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream
