A DATE for an inquest into the death of tragic Lytham mum Denise Hendry is to be set in the New Year.
The wife of former Scottish international and Blackpool FC manager, Colin Hendry, died in July from complication, years after a botched liposuction operation.

A coroner's court will sit to establish the circumstances of her death.

The mum-of-four contracted an infection following corrective surgery at the Salford Royal Hospital in Greater Manchester.

Perforated

Mrs Hendry, 43, had suffered a string of health problems after cosmetic surgery at a private clinic in Preston in 2002.

During the liposuction operation, performed by Gustav Aniansson, her small intestine and colon were perforated nine times.

She suffered blood poisoning, kidney failure, a heart attack and a collapsed lung.
