FORMULA 1 enthusiasts can get a taste of what it is like to own a race car by getting involved with the F1 project at Lytham St Annes High.
Technology and engineering students in all age groups enter teams into the F1in schools project racing their hand built mini racing cars against other schools.
Teacher John Spiers hopes this year's entrants – Jewel, Gener8 and Driving Force- will follow in the tyre tracks of previous teams which have taken the school to chequered flag success.
Local businesses are being invited to sponsor the teams and help out with marketing, merchandising and materials.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Mr Spiers on (01253) 733 192.
