A FRECKLETON villager has been caught driving while over the limit.
Paul Ashton, 25, of Summit Drive, admitted driving with excess alcohol. He was bailed to July 25 by Blackpool magistrates for sentence and banned from driving in the meantime.
The offence was on July 13 when Ashton was driving a Rover on Ansdell R
oad South, Lytham. A breath test showed 57 micrograms of alcohol in his body – 35 is the limit.
Plumbing case
A MAN accused of stealing boilers, radiators and sinks had his case adjourned to August 6. John Kirkwood, 44, of Fenton Road, Blackpool, was bailed by resort magistrates.
Assault denied
A MAN has pleaded not guilty to assaulting another man.
Craig Gilroy, 20, of Devonshire Road, Blackpool, was bailed to November 10 for trial by resort magistrates.
Coffee morning
A COFFEE morning in Cleveleys will raise funds for the League of Friends of Rossall and Fleetwood Hospitals.
The event, at the United Reformed Church Hall on August 13, will include a bring-and-buy stall and raffle. It will begin at 10.30am and admission will be 50p.
Trial requested
A MAN has pleaded not guilty to burgling Blackpool Tower warehouse.
David McDonough, 48, of Park Road, Blackpool, asked for crown court trial and was bailed to September 12 by Blackpool magistrates for committal to the higher court.
Threats charge
TEENAGER Jamie Manning, 18, of Salthouse Avenue, Blackpool, who denied threatening behaviour, was bailed by resort magistrates to October 27 for trial .
Butcher accused
A BUTCHER has been accused of burgling a flat on Clifton Drive North, St Annes, and stealing jewellery and a games player valued together at £350.
Jamie Lunney, 19, of Church Street, St Annes, who is also charged with interfering with a motor vehicle, was bailed to September 12, for committal to crown court by Blackpool magistrates.
