A COUPLE have appeared in court accused of possessing cannabis with an estimated street value of £12,000.
Damian Walker, 34, and Tracy Del-Piano, 22, both of Cunliffe Road, Blackpool, are charged with having 2,640g of cannabis with intent to supply.
Blackpool magistrates said the case must go to crown court.
Both defendants were bailed to September
19 for the committal of their case to the higher court.
Police threats caseA MAN accused of threatening to kill police officers and cut their throats has made his first appearance in court.
Simon Clarke, 40, of Grafton Street, Blackpool, is charged with affray.
He is also accused of possessing two 9in knives and a 3in knife.
Blackpool magistrates bailed Clarke to September 19.
Boy in tree rescueFIREFIGHTERS used a ladder to help rescue a seven-year-old boy who was stuck up a tree.
Fleetwood fire brigade was called to the incident at Anchorsholme Park, Thornton, on Saturday afternoon. The child was unharmed.

Car blaze dramaARSON was suspected after a Vauxhall Corsa went up in flames.
The owner had parked the car near his home in Pleasant Grove, Thornton, but awoke at 6.15am yesterday to find the vehicle alight.

Hotel bedding fireFIRE crews were called to a hotel on Albert Road, Blackpool, just before 10am yesterday after some bedding set alight. The flames were out when they arrived.
