CHARLIE Adam has admitted he's approaching "a major crossroads" in his career and has some serious thinking to do.
Adam is due to return to pre-season training with Glasgow Rangers a week on Thursday and insists that is all he is concentrating on.

But with so much attention from English clubs – Barnsley, Reading and Preston have joined Blackpool in the race to try to sign the midfielder – he acknowledges that he may be moving on.

"I still have three years left on my contract at Ibrox and, ideally, I'd love to see that out," said the 23-year-old, in his first full interview since leaving Bloomfield Road.

"I worked really hard to earn myself the five-year deal I signed in 2007, so I'm not about to do anything rash that I might regret.

"At the moment, I'm only thinking about being as fit as possible when Rangers restart training on July 9.

"When that happens, I'll probably discover where my future lies. I really want to settle down with one club, preferably Rangers.

"I've also had temporary spells at Ross County and St Mirren but I can't keep joining clubs on loan.

"I realise I'm approaching a major crossroads in my career. It's obvious I'll have some serious thinking to do shortly.

"My first priority is to try and resurrect my career with Rangers. At the same time, I have to be realistic.

"If it's obvious I'm going to struggle for a starting place at Ibrox, then I really will have to seriously consider my options.

"At present, though, I just want to get myself as fit as possible before reporting back. Then we'll see what the future holds."

A bid of £500,000 is likely to be enough to tempt Rangers to sell.

Ian Holloway and Karl Oyston are in Latvia to talk to Seasiders president Valery Belokon.

One of the matters being discussed is the budget for the season.

And with Holloway likely to emphasise how much he wants Adam in his squad, it is hoped Belokon may agree to give extra cash to fund a transfer.

If BFC want to prove how determined they are to improve their Attendances and fill the new South Stand and improve on their CCC position of last season, we will only achieve that improving the squad with players of Charlie Adam's ability.

We need to sign players that are better than what we have or we will struggle.

Glad that Danny & Brett have signed - Billy Clark looks to be a good addition.

I think we need to sign another quality Centre Half whether Ronnie leaves or stays. Realistically we wont get a full season out of Rob E and Ian E as I think that they both will experience Injuries and suspensions that would leave us exposed.

Fact - CA is a quality player at a bargain price, so why the delay? He & DJ undoubtably kept us up.
We all know we need to sign Charlie, to avoid another fight against relegation (97% agree on recent vote).
So INVEST now before we lose him, and face relegation.
Please VB you know it makes sense.
Pity we didn't get Peter Clarke back on a free?

Yes Tangerine, about 97% want CA back, but no matter what KO does, in the end its down to CA to say yes. I want CA back, hes quality and KO knows it, Ollie told him so. We certainly need quality in depth now, if we`re only having a small squad, so it will pay for Ollie to pick and choose. Lets have patience and see what KO and Ollie get from Uncle Valery.

Sign him up - couple more additions and we can force ourselves towards play offs not relegation !

What a sensationalized headline.
Gives one an idea that CA has decided against a move th BFC.
More inept reporting from the moron.
Please go to another paper.

It amazes me the way some Balckpool fans think, without doubt he'd be a great addition to the team. He himself is saying that he wants to see what happens when he reports back next week for training. That to me reads that he'll see how they regard him and the big thing is what will happen to the monies offered him for the remainder of his contract. Players don't just go for a transfer fee anymore, there's all the add ons like remander of contract, loyalty bonus etc. These are the sort of things that cost the new club and the selling club, so it's not just a case of £500k

CA doesn't say though about whether he enjoyed his time
here or not and whether he'd come back - sorry but glass
is half empty on this one!
