St Annes Parish Operatic Society take Aladdin on tour - with all the glitter, gags and panto fun you'd expect
and live on Freeview channel 276
The talented cast, including regular leading lady Geraldine Brown as Aladdin and local head teacher Glyn Denton as the Dame, are all set to provide the usual high quality, close up experience that has people coming back year after year in a touring format. But this particular production is going to be even more special as it is dedicated to the memory of dearly loved SAPOS member Dorothy Cartmell, who sadly passed away last month at the age of 91.
As a founder member of SAPOS and a lifetime committee member, Dorothy brought pleasure to countless people through the dozens of plays, musicals and concerts she appeared in during over fifty years on stage. Her sweet soprano voice was still very much in evidence in her last performance (in “When The Lights Go On Again”) at the age of nearly ninety

But why a touring panto? Paula said: “It’s a great way for our members to stay together over the winter months and helps to raise funds for the venues we visit as well as for the society.
"This year we have kept prices super cheap to make it affordable for everyone.”
