FYLDE football hero Martin Heald is setting his sights on more silverware after tasting European footballing glory.
The Wesham teenager won bronze with Great Britain in the amputee European Football Championships in Turkey.
He now has his eye on the gold at the World Amputee Championships in Russia later this year.
The plucky 17-year-old, who has twice beaten cancer, had his leg amputated two years ago.
He said: "I am pleased to have got this international cap and I would love to win some more caps.
"People keep saying to me that it's such a big thing, but I just enjoy being able to play football."
Martin, a student at Kirkham's Carr Hill High School, was bang on target for his country when he capped his first full international appearance with a headed goal against the Ukraine.
The team eventually finished third, only just missing out on the silver medals on goal difference.
Martin was presented with his England cap by Manchester United star Michael Carrick at the club's Carrington training ground.
And his parents Brian and Selina are delighted with their son's success.
Mrs Heald said: "It's such an achievement.
"We are so proud of him. With Martin it's not a case of what you can't do but what you can do.
"He's got such guts and determination, he just won't give in.
"We are a very positive family. We don't look at the negative and that's obviously the way Martin looks at it too."
