Nowadays sequels seem to be the fashionable thing, and Hitman is no different which is now enjoying its fourth outing. Your character is known as 47, and the game is promising new twists to the formula and an intriguing story.

Although this is the fourth game in the series you need no knowledge of the games background to get into this as it assumes you are new to the series. The games begin with the discovery of 47 and his employer being threatened by some other mysterious agency. He will learn more as the story unfolds which leads to a dramatic climax.

There are over a dozen missions to complete mainly in the USA from Las Vegas to the Mississippi to Los Angeles. The locations are beautifully modelled and very realistic that captures a great atmosphere and brings the world alive.

The great thing about this game is its open way of play. You could storm the mission bullets blazing and killing everything or it is possible to complete most missions without having to use a bullet. The game lets you switch from third person view to first person with a host of real world weapons to choose from. You also have access to poisons, explosives, knives and other means. It is possible to stage an 'accident' for your target so you don't need to do any dirty work at all.

Hitman gives a great sense of satisfaction when you complete a mission. The number of ways to complete a mission is astounding. If you’re new to the series I would recommend this game and if you’re familiar with the series you should know what to expect.
