BARNEY'S Top Ten Bingo Club may have closed down, but that has not been the death of bingo in Fleetwood.
Once-a-week sessions being held at the Highbury Social Club every Tuesday afternoon have now become a twice-a-week event. The meetings are now being held every Thursday afternoon as well, at 2pm.

Ron Wakefield, who is running the sessions, said: “Without doubt the closure of the Top Ten bingo club has led to a surge in demand. We just couldn’t run it five nights a week, as some have requested, but this is the next best thing.”

Meanwhile, the Highbury Social Club will also be hosting a presentation night for local darts, dominoes and snooker clubs on Monday June 8, with entertainment from top Fleetwood musician Tony Mitchell.
