Blackpool hit-and-run car crashes into police van, tree and a wall

Two people have been arrested after a car crashed into a police van, before hitting a tree and a wall, following an earlier hit and run in Blackpool last night (June 4).

Officers said the driver failed to stop and sped away from the scene, before crashing into a police dog van.

The driver again fled the scene before finally being brought to a stop after hitting a tree and a garden wall.

Two people have been arrested.

Pictures shared by police show a damaged silver Vauxhall that has mounted the pavement, surrounded by a number of police vehicles.

Officers said no injuries were reported and the car has since been recovered.

A police spokesman said: "This car in Blackpool involved in a fail to stop RTC before making off from police having further collided with a police dog van before crashing into a tree and garden wall. 2 occupants arrested, car recovered. Thankfully no injuries."
